Resolved Question: Do I have to arrive at the airport 3 hours before my flight?

My flight is leaving at 2:50pm on March 9th. However the best time to take the bus from Kingston would bring me to Toronto at 11:00. I would then have to take a shuttle at 11:25 to the airport which has an approximate arrival time at 12:40 if I make this shuttle. Is this enough time? I am taking an international flight to Costa Rica.

Resolved Question: Getting around O'Hare Int'l Airport?

Hi. I'll be flying into O'Hare in a couple of weeks. I've never been through that airport before. I'm arriving on a United Airlines flight (booked as Continental but the plane is actually United) I leave O'Hare with Continental. Does anybody know whether I'll have to change terminals? If so, what's the inter-terminal system consist of? Shuttle bus? Train? etc. I have two hours so I'm sure that I'll have lots of time but would just like to know what's involved. Thanks in advance.

Have you ever used this company to go from Breckenridge to Denver airport? If so, how was your experience? This was the only shuttle company that was able to pick us up early in the morning. We are not familiar with driving in the snow, so we chose not to do a rental car. Any information on this company would be great!

Resolved Question: How to bring up the subject of going to visit my boyfriend to my DAD?

I'm a 20 year old university junior. I go to school in my hometown, and live with my parents. I'm the oldest of 4 kids in a UBER conservative family. My possess parents met in college, and would go camping together, etc. So I dont think it's that they're immune to people going places together. I've never done anything to have my parents NOT trust me. I'm the kid that's never had a curfew, because..ive never NEEDED a curfew--ive always been home, studying. I have no social life, and very few friends. I've had two jobs, one of which is at the family business, where i still work, i took 19 credits in the fall semester, and i've never received so much as a speeding ticket (and i bought my possess truck at 16). I have a boyfriend (this is a recent development). We use to be really close friends, every last winter, and somehow they had no problem with me going to movies, bowling, hiking or skiing with him then. He is now in the military, and we've recently started a relationship (which he is estatic about because this was his whole plan during out friendship, too, apparently). He was home on christmas leave when we made things official. He was only home for TWO WEEKS, and I tried to be with him as much as possible. My family made it some huge scandal that I was out with him "three afternoons in a row." and "IT'S 11 O'CLOCK ON A FRIDAY? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! WHY ARENT' YOU HOME?!" When otherwise..i would have been sitting at home, doing nothing. He's currently in Illinois. I'm in arizona. His birthday is in 2 weeks, and he graduates A school and moves cross country (close to us) shortly thereafter. I want to go look him in Chicago before he leaves there. I never GO ANYWHERE, and I've hardly got to travel in my life. He has a liberty weekend that weekend, as well. For the last month, I've scouted out airfare. I found the cheapest is $272 round trip. I would leave on a Friday, and arrive back on sunday night. It's a 2hrs steer to the airport, and there's a shuttle I can take, so they dont have any reason to bitch about "how we had to steer you 2 hours you ungrateful bitch". Once in Chicago I will take the metros to the base. There is a Navy lodge close by that I would make reservations at for the two nights. Expensive trip? Incredibly. Priceless? That too. Any idea how to bring this up to my dad? He's a control freak to start with, and I'm sure the idea of me going to visit my boyfriend only means to him that i will "lose my virtue" or receive raped at the airport. Any ideas?? Like I said...IM TWENTY!

Resolved Question: Is a parking service / lot responsible for these damages?

Company A charges to park vehicles at airport. JANE makes reservation to park car for a weekend and pays in full upfront. JANE pulls vehicle in to drop off area and brings car keys inside. JANE gives reservation number and is asked to hand over keys. Company A hands over parking stub(ticket) to JANE and tells her to board their shuttle to the airport. JANE arrives back from trip and calls for Company A to arrive pick her up. Company A asks for her stub on the shuttle, radios ahead and has vehicle brought around, started and ready to go. JANE gets off shuttle, and sees her vehicle and notices a big dent on passengers door with blue paint that came from antoher car. JANEs not move vehicle and goes inside to office to complain. JANE does the following. Fills out Company A complaint form (which states complaints must be made before vehicle is driven off premises) Calls police and has a police accident/damage report filled out. JANE take pictures of the damage JANE asks for Company A's part of the stub and sees a section for vehicle damage. Company A has indicaed on their stub that JANE's vehicle has dent located on passenger door. Company did not fill out this damage report in JANE's presence, receive JANE's signature or inicate this on JANE's part of the stub. JANE knows this damage was not there on the passengers car when she dropped off the vehicle. JANE knows this damage was caused while in the care of Company A in which she paid them money to look after it. JANE was not instructed to indicate any previous damage to the vehcile before dropping off. On the stub that JANE received, it says nothing about Company A not responsible for damage. Will JANE win in court over Company A for repairs to the vehicle?

the local bus system in too expensive to receive to the airport i dont even want to know how much a cab would cost me and my pal can only take me as far as hes going (about half way) and he says he can drop me off at an airport parking lot and i can catch a shuttle for free without having to park a car is this true? does anyone know the absolute cheapest way to receive to an airport? im not typically this cheap but i only have limited funds alright so what your every saying is just show up at an airport shuttle place and just hop on for free gotcha heading to california tomorrow afternoon from denver and im NOT returning im going to california from DENVER colorado a cab is $20 the public bus is $9-14 (since in not elderly or disabled im stuck paying 14) my pal can only take me half way because he has to go to work and cant receive the time off

My fiance and I are planning on getting married aboard a Carnival Cruise that departs from Port Canaveral, FL (by cocoa beach). Since we are getting married before the other passengers board, we need to be there early in the morning so we wont be able to use the cruise's shuttle service. Since the closest aiport is Orlando, which is about 90 miles away, I need to find a way to receive our guests from the airport to the cruise port. We have a pretty limited budget. I'm seventeen years old and I'm going to visit a college by myself. My mom will arrive with me to my departing airport to check me in, but I'm flying into LAX and once I receive there I'm taking a cab or shuttle to the college - there won't be anybody there to pick me up. Then, when I finish with my college visit, I'm going to have to check in at LAX alone to fly home (where my mom will pick me up). Is it going to be a problem that I don't have an adult in Los Angeles, or am I allowed to fly as an adult at 17? For the person who really wanted to know, I'm visiting the University of Southern California. :)

so theres this guy I met camping 3-4 months ago and the first time we hung out we were drinking and I remember the moment he put his arms around me and another pal elder told me he had had feelings but didnt know how to tell me! and I told him I liked him but He went icy so I thought he wasnt interested so I started going with this other guy, Even when I was with this other guy, he would give me his jacket to wear or his blanket when I was icy etc or brush past me or make me giggle. then the other guy was out of the picture and we got closer. but then he had to go home to the other side of the world, so I went to look him off at the airport shuttle and I tried to ask him to stay but I couldn't because when I asked him why he had to go he said he had to look his family and family means a lot to me! we cuddled and talked and he almost missed his flight and now I don't know what to do from now! P.S his flight has been delayed...should I go look him?

Resolved Question: going from Grehound bus terminal, Jacksonville, Florida to Jacksonville, airport?

I hear the trip is around 20 mins by cab if there is minimum traffic and fair weather. I will be reaching the bus terminal around 9:15 am and have to catch a domestic flight at 11:30am so need to be at the check in terminal by 10:15am since I have to check in one bag. Day of travel is Saturday and I am new to Jacksonville. 1. Can I reach the airport from the bus terminal using any sort of bus/shared shuttle/cab instead of taking a cab by myself which can set me back by around 50 or more(including tips) as the distance is around 15 miles? I know on Saturday there would be less bus service but would there be any shuttles running which go to the airport?

For a single person with one bag(and one carry on bag), time is 1:20pm on Saturday when flight will(or should) reach newark and I need to be in JFK by 4:20pm(since it is an international flight I need to be be gift before the plane leaves at 6:20pm) 1. I know three hours is very short to travel from Newark airport to JFK, but what would be the quickest way with the lowest possible cost. I know a cab would take around an hour(or more because of high traffic on Sat) and cost around 100(or more with every toll for bridges) ,but should I go for a cab to ensure I reach on time? I am new to NYC but wish the cabbies won't gouge me. Another risk is there may be no cabs as some people had to wait for 45 mins to find one at times 2. IS train an option as it will have less traffic? I know I have to change 3-4 stations like AirTrain JFK to Long Term Parking/Howard Beach Station. Connect to New York City Subway A train to NY Penn Station/34th road. Connect to NJ Transit or Amtrak to Newark Liberty Airport Station 3. How about the Airport Express bus shuttle? I am told for around 50 it can be a choice over cab. 4. Any other suggestions on how to travel safely for a newcomer?

I'm traveling to Florida in May and am staying at the Walt Disney World every Star Movie Resort. Our trip is only 4 days because I can't miss school and the other three are planned at Disney and Sea World, but I really want to go to the beach before we leave. Open Question: how to get near orlando studios from the international airport for FREE? 10 pts?

I'm going to orlando and my hotel does not offer shuttle from the airport. My hotel is just a couple minutes from universal studios. What is the closest free shuttle, I will ride a different hotel's free shuttle if I have to. Yeah I don't really want to walk nine miles with baggage, thanks though. NO the airport is nine miles away. My hotel is right by universal studios, that is a couple minute walk. I want to walk from Universal to my hotel, a five minute walk. My cousin and I are trying to plan a Spring break trip in March from Washington DC to Naples, FL. We are hoping to fly into Ft Myers and stay in her parents condo in Naples. However, we aren't sure how we are going to receive from the Ft Myers airport to Naples (and vice versa on our way back) and her condo is also a few miles from the beach. We are wondering if we should try finding a rental car for 18 year olds or one that we can rent below our parents names and steer (legally)? Resolved Question: Is my wife trying to sabotage our romantic weekend?

My wife and I are going away to Niagara Falls next weekend, and I want to make sure everything goes perfectly. I was going through the final checks today, hotel confirmation, dinner reservations, plane tickets, even checking our bags... 3 days, 5 changes of clothing. The only shopping I wanted to do was maybe some tourist stuff, some duty free beer and smokes, and a gift for her... simple. My stuff is done, even new boxers and socks. She had everything packed, but only 3 sets of clothes and sets of underwear (panties and bras)! I don't receive it.. we aren't aren't renting a car... we're getting a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and everything else is either within walking distance, or in a cab! I think she was doing it on purpose so she could receive an afternoon of shopping in! Why would she do something so petty? I'm actually thinking about cancelling the whole trip. In April I am flying to Atlanta from Oklahoma to meet a pal. She will be flying in on an international flight from England. We are both using Delta. I land about an hour before she does. My question is, do I land, pick up the rental car and then try and steer to the international terminal to pick her up? Or do I take the shuttles to the int. terminal with luggage and every, meet her,and then shuttle back to the car rental area together? I have never been to this airport (and neither has she).
